Entry #70 (Marble Hornets)

Description: One of the burned tapes.

1. Video is 5:46 long

2. Video starts with the name of the video

3. Text shows up saying, “So far, I’ve gotten one of the tapes we found to work.

4. Next bit of text says: “Tim was right, it contains more of Alex’s raw footage from when he was shooting Marble Hornets”

5. “Here is what I was able to get off of it”.

6. Video starts with someone driving in on a road, country road most like it

7. Phone rings and Alex answers it. It is a woman. They talk for a while. Apparently one of the guys in the movie is from a location that they will film in.

8. He mentions about transferring after he gets the movie done.

9. States that he is going to go to bed. Says that he is at home when he isn’t. Something isn’t right…

10. Video cuts to him pulling into the Rosswood park. He parks and gets out of the car, taking the camera with him.

11. He begins walking down a path. Video distorts then cuts to a wooded area. Distortion

12. Cuts to him walking in the same area as before the first cut. Very minor audio distortion. Walks up to a swingset.

13. Slenderman shows up. Alex runs up to him and asks what he wants. There is heavy distortion before Slenderman teleports out of the area

14. Alex begins to get sick, coughing and everything. Collapses to the ground. Distortion begins.

15. Video cuts to a scene from entry four from when Alex was in the park.

16. Text says: “The playground Alex went to looks like the same one that’s in Entry #4”

17. “Why did he choose to burn this tape and give the other ones to me?”

18. “I think it might have something to do with Amy. She was never mentioned in any other of the footage that Alex originally gave me”

My Thoughts

So, it seems that Alex tried to confront Slenderman. This didn’t end well cause Slenderman teleported away. Mind you, it’s a better encounter than has happened earlier in the series, and even to the other Slenderman crews. I still want to see what happened afterwards cause we seriously don’t know if Slenderman returned or not. There was distortion before it cut the last time. So maybe Alex was ambushed?

He lied to his girlfriend about him being home so he could confront Slenderman. He obviously wanted to find out information about was going on. Perhaps this is what caused Slenderman to start using him as a proxy. Perhaps there was other run ins between the two that we don’t know about. Could that be why Alex burned the tapes? He is quite an…insane person right now. Slenderman could be having him destroy any evidence of what happened so that we don’t know… I’m not sure. It’s just speculation right now.

Entry #69 (MarbleHornets)

Description: Where all of this started

1. Video is 9:16 long

2. Video starts with text announcing the title of the video

3. There is no other text after the title. It just cuts to maybe a park?

4. Tim walks up asking Jay if he is sure that he doesn’t want anything. Jay says no

5. Tim asks how much longer they got, and Jay answers with “about thirty minutes”

6. They talk about Alex, Jessica, and how they should’ve done this before.

7. Tim takes some pills.

8. Jay asks if they are still working. Tim answers with “Yeah, take one every few hours”

9. 2:07 in, they decide to leave the park.

10. At 2:24, the video cuts out

11. At 2:28 the audio cuts in, followed by the video a second later. They are on the road now, a highway it looks like

12. Text comes up saying, “After a few days of driving, Tim and I finally arrived back in the area where we used to live.”

13. More text: “The same area where Alex originally gave me the raw footage from Marble Hornets”

14. Video cuts to Tim near a fountain like structure with text over the video saying: “We’ve spend most of the time here backtracking through the locations that we remember how to get to, and looking for anything that could help us.”

15. Video cuts to Jay crouching down next to a cement path. He points to a trail in some woods.

16. Video cuts to Tim in a park looking around

17. Cut to a walkway type thing. Text on screen says: “We didn’t find anything until a few days ago, while looking in the local park that Alex used as his ‘set’ for Marble Hornets”.

18. Video cuts to them walking through some woods.

19. Tim trips in a hole.

20. Jay states that he thought that he saw something moving, but dismisses it as a bird flying through the trees. Tim seems worried.

21. Cut to a large clearing with the tower features some entries ago where Jay found the tape.

22. Tim climbs the latter inside the tower to look for anything

23. Jay looks outside for a brief moment, then—as Tim is states that he saw nothing—Jay runs back into the tower

24. Jay states that he saw someone sitting in the woods looking right at him, but Tim doesn’t see them.

25. Jay goes a few feet into the woods to see if he can find them.

26. Decides to rewind the tape to see if they can see if the person was caught on tape.

27. Camera blurs, and Jay trips in a hole.\

28. Jay goes through the whole and finds a tape, several in fact. They’re melted.

29. Tim thinks that the tapes are some of the tapes Alex had when he taped Marble Hornets.

30. They decide to take all the tapes with them to see if any will play.

My Thoughts

I’ll post my thoughts on this video on Monday because of school schedule.
